Community Access-Social Engagement

Our Vision

At Seachange Homecare we have 7 years of experience with supporting our participants in participating in their local community and engaging them in meaningful social activities. Every individual deserves to feel included and valued. Which is why at Seachange Homecare we promote inclusion and meaningful connections, which enhances overall well-being.

Empowering individuals to connect with their local community is a core part of what we do at Seachange Home Care.

From exploring local hobbies to attending public events, our services are designed to remove barriers and create opportunities for active community life. This support extends beyond simply accompanying participants; it focuses on building social networks and encouraging active participation, transforming simple outings into enriching experiences. We offer assistance with everything from planning and transportation to providing a supportive presence, ensuring that every participant can confidently explore their community and pursue their passions.

Types of Community Activities

  • Arts and Hobbies: Engaging in painting, pottery, or music classes.
  • Sports and Fitness: Joining a local sports club, attending fitness classes, or participating in a walking group.
  • Social Groups: Attending social clubs, meetups, or community groups with shared interests.
  • Educational Pursuits: Attending workshops, classes, or volunteering for a local cause.
  • Recreation and Leisure: Going to the movies, visiting a museum or gallery, or simply enjoying a coffee at a local cafe.
