What is Behaviour Support?
Our Behaviour Support Services focus on improving a person’s quality of life and understanding the reasons behind behaviour and ways to meet a person’s needs. This includes strategies such as teaching a person new skills, making changes to their environment, and providing guidance to their support team.
The following provides a brief understanding of how this can help.
Specialist behaviour support providers work closely with NDIS participants and others to:
- develop a behaviour support plan
- put the behaviour support plan into action
- check to make sure things are getting better over time.
Positive behaviour support works to reduce or eliminate difficult behaviour and is the best approach for children and adults living with disability who display behaviours of concern.
Would you benefit from Behaviour Support?
The overall aim of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is to improve the quality of a person’s life and that of the people around them.
This includes children, young people adults as well as older people.
With the right support at the right time the likelihood of behaviour that challenges is reduced.
