What is Short Term Accommodation (STA)?
STA is short term accommodation (including respite) that is funded for up to 14 days as a one-off support, it is usually funded when your usual carers aren’t available. We can support you if you have STA funding in your NDIS plan.
The following provides a brief understanding of how this can help.
Short Term Accommodation funding can provide respite care for you and your carers, offering a temporary break from your daily routine.
This can involve a short stay in a supportive environment where you can:
- Explore new opportunities: Engage in different activities and experiences.
- Connect with others: Meet new people and build friendships.
- Learn and grow: Develop new skills and interests.
Respite care also benefits your informal support network by giving them a much-needed rest.
This can be particularly helpful when your usual carers are unavailable, allowing you to maintain your current living situation.
Would you benefit from Short Term Accommodation (STA)?
Seachange Care Support Services will take the time to discuss your needs and can help you understand if this is the right pathway for you.
